Ok, so I've updated the link for our IRC Chatroom. You no longer have to have your own client! You can now connect to the chat through the site! All you have to do is change your nick to your ingame name (details outlined on that page) instead of CU###. You will also be connected to the main #ffxi chatroom incase people are afk or quiet in #chaoticunion.
If you'd still like to use your own client (or a client with an IRC plugin) you can connect using the following information:
host/server: irc.vanachat.com
room: #chaoticunion
if you have any questions let me know
I figured this would be nice for people who are bored at work (*whistles innocently*) or who aren't in game but want to chat with people
